đââď¸ Swimming Through the Storm
When Faith Is Just Showing Up
âWhen you pass through the waters, I will be with youâŚâ
â Isaiah 43:2
This morning, the storm wasnât just outsideâit was raging inside my heart. The kind of weariness only spiritual warfare brings: doubt pounding, fear whispering, shame lurking, and everything in me fighting just to get up and move.
But I showed up at the pool before sunrise with every ounce of heaviness on my shoulders, desperate for a breakthrough.
The Battle in the Water
I started slow, letting the water hold my tears, my stress, my questions that donât have answers yet. As I swam, I prayed with every stroke.
40 lengths.
1,000 meters.
36 minutes and 27 seconds.
Heartbeat steady at 137.
Some laps felt like sinking. Others like little victoriesâbreathing in, breathing out, one prayer at a time.
Raw Reflection: God in the Middle of My Mess
Honestly, I wanted to quit so many times. Every fear shouted, âYouâre not enough.â Every lap was another small surrender:
Jesus, meet me here.
Not in perfection, not in polished victory, but in the stormâthe middle, where faith is simply refusing to stop.
And God did meet me. Not with instant peace, but with grit to keep moving. The storm didnât vanish, but His presence never let me drown.
Real Takeaway
You donât have to wait for your storm to pass to seek God. Sometimes faith means showing up right inside the chaosâtears, doubts, weariness and all. Sometimes Godâs answer isnât calm waters, but company in the deep.
If all you can do is keep swimming⌠keep swimming. Your weakness is welcome. Your fight is seen. God is still writing your story, one lap at a time.
A Prayer for Fellow Warriors
Lord, for everyone reading this whoâs in their own storm, strengthen their heart. Remind them You are with them in the waters. Give courage to go another lap, faith to trust Your timing, and hope to see Youâright in the middle of the waves. In Jesusâ name, amen.
If this resonated, reply or share your own story below. We need each other. And if you know someone swimming through something heavy today, forward this postâthe rescue comes when we realize weâre not alone.
Grace and courage,
Marco (âFaith Warriorâ)
